Aunt Ruth Faust

I have mixed emotions about the passing of Aunt Ruth.  She died sunday morning at the age of 86.  I know she missed Uncle Jim very much and so I am glad that they can be reunited. They were so in love and such a good example to all of us.  Just imagine the reunion they are having right now!  President and Sister Hinkley and My Grandma and Grandpa(her sister and brother in law) and many others!
This picture was taken at a Wright family reunion at my dad's house.  I was pregnant with Treyvan and Rilee was just three.  I feel so blessed to have had the chance to sit and talk and laugh with her and hold her sweet, soft hands.   She was so Wise, down to earth, and loving.  She had the greatest smile!  My dad and I were talking about the "Wright" resemblance and  she really did look a lot like my grandma! Aunt Ruth will be missed here on earth and I do not look forward to the day that I outlive my parents; but I am so glad for the knowledge we have.

It is always sad when someone leaves our families but like you said I'm sure she was so happy to be reuntied with her loved ones in heaven. President Faust was one of my favorite general authorities and I think it's so cool that you are apart of his family. Hey...how come you never hooked me up with a lunch or something with him?

Now she is with her cute hubby and best friends Margie and Gordon!

When I heard she passed on the news (because I live in Utah), I just smiled! It is nice to think about the reunions of such great couples.

Here is a quote Bruce Olson from the church gave about them. "The Fausts were one of the Church's great love stories. When they came into the same room, the world stopped for a few moments, and it was just the two of them."
He also said, "The heavens are richer and the world poorer with the change of residence of Ruth Wright Faust."

What a lady. I know she will be missed, and I am sorry for your loss!!!

Steph, I feel lucky just to have met him myself! Matt was so nervous when he met him the first time but he was totally giving Matt a hard time and teasing him! When Matt was helping carry Aunt Ruth in her wheelchair up the front steps of my dad's house, he asked Matt if that was all he had and told him to put some muscle into it!:)

Kj, they must be so happy! I love that quote! Really, it is as much everyones loss...I was just lucky to spend some time with her after my dad and I were re aquainted. I know everyone loved her and will miss her.

Another sweet parting. She is now with her husband, and how lucky for them to be out of these horrible earthly bodies, am I right?

Wow- I didn't know you are related! I have always loved Pres. Faust and even waited on him when I was a waitress at this little hole-in-the-wall Mexican place in Salt Lake. He used to come in for luch all the time with his bodyguard and whichever waitress got his table would always pay for the bill. Ever the gracious and giving man, he would simply leave a tip in the amount of the bill plus tip. Well, your blog is amazing (don't be surprised when I steal one or five ideas soon)! We had so much fun on Saturday. We'll have to do it again sometime soon, only leave the boys at home!

Ali you are right about being out of these horrible earthly bodies but I hate that picture of me.....I was big fat pregnant with Treyvan and decided to chop my hair......my face is too round for that!
